There
is still a part of me that wonders whether or not this life will ever be “enough”. Whether or not love will ever feel “enough”. Whether or not I could ever be smart “enough” or pretty “enough” or happy “enough”.
What is better: Striving for goals you’ll never reach, or not reaching far “enough”?
“The struggle” is worth something
..only when you can come out of it. Unfortunately, most people cannot and/or will not. I wouldn’t wish that burden on anyone.
Is working towards a 100% life at all realistic? Should we aspire to a 100% life, or find satisfaction in 80%? Are we ever going to get everything we’ve ever wanted? Then why are we encouraged towards obtaining a...

Let me
Let me be a frigid block of ice that melts into my surroundings as I become warmer and warmer. Let me fall away to pieces as the sun shines along my body and transforms me into water where I then soak into the life that breeds beneath me. Let me wrap my slippery fingers around the thorns of the flowers that everyone admires, and let me carry the debris left behind from a stroll two lovers took....
Be still,
turbid heart, be still.
Calm this chaotic mind of mine.
Calm these hands that shake for embracing,
calm these veins that fill with fear.
Be still, turbid heart, be still; you know not what you’re thinking.
Something’s wrong with me.
You alter the beat
the pulse, the sound and fury
of my lonely heart.

Tyler Knott: Would You Buy a Book of My Poetry? →
tylerknott:
Hello friends. This is a bit strange, a bit unorthodox, but I need to do a little market research first, before I do anything. Would you buy a book of my poetry? Please sound off and let me know if you actually would, I’d love to hear if you think it should be a book of the longer stuff, the…

You,
I can see now that you,
you are the calm after the storm.
My life has been filled with dark days, cold nights and winds that rustle my reality.
With you,
Now I feel as though sunshine lives beneath my skin again.
I feel the scratch of Love’s fingernails along the planes of my back,
and the tip of Hope’s nose nuzzled behind my ear.
The palms of your hands are highways to...

There is an echo that lingers after the fierce winds rustle the leaves along all the trees that surround my house. I feel it is the echo of loneliness. It is an echo, in the form on a song, that sings itself through my windows into my bedsheets, and warms itself next to my body. It came as a crescendo, loud and proud and as I wrap myself up tighter with my blanket, the echo transforms into the...

My heart is an old book. The pages made from the flesh of every boy I’ve ever liked, the grace of every woman I’ve experienced, and the petals of every flower that I’ve smelled. The black ash of my faded memories mix with my tears to make the ink I write with. The rope that binds my pages together is weaved from lifelong strands of mistakes and achievements and the stories that...
I once knew a boy.
A boy with whom I saw the world in.
He had pink sunsets on the apples of his cheeks, milk coffee for skin, and the pur of a black panther weaved in and out of his hair. He moved like honey, spoke thunder for sentences, and he had a soft side like a freshly risen cloud.
But I could never trust what was in his eyes. He was a loose board of wood in the steps of my porch: enough...
